Michael Vick
Player News
Free-agent QB Michael Vick recently told reporters that he hopes to play one more season in the NFL.
If signed by an NFL team this season, this could be the end of the line for Vick who has played 13 NFL seasons for four different teams and is coming off of a season in where he finished with a 79.8 QBRat, 371 Yds Pass, 99 Yds Rush, two TD Pass and one Int in five games. The best case scenario for Vick at this point in his career, though, would be to get a backup QB position with an NFL squad. He is no longer starting QB material.
Update: Mike Vick is inactive for Sunday's game.
It had previously been reported Vick would be active, but that is not the case. This could be an indication Ben Roethlisberger is feeling better, as Vick would probably be a necessity if Big Ben was more likely to have to come out of the game.
Mike Vick is expected to be on the active roster as the third string quarterback on Sunday.
Vick was an abject disaster with Ben Roethlisberger out earlier this season, and Pittsburgh may as well just throw in the towel if Vick has to play against the Broncos. More than anything, this likely indicates the Steelers are concerned Roethlisberger will not be able to finish Sunday's game.
Michael Vick is officially listed as out for Week 7.
Landry Jones will get the start if Big Ben can't play. Roethlisberger was limited at practice on Friday so it's looking like he'll be out for another week. Jones has been a popular pickup, but we're skeptical that he can replicate last week's success.
