Aaron Murray

After starring at the University of Georgia, Murray was originally drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2014 Draft. The now 26-year-old quarterback has bounced around on multiple practice squads the past couple of years without ever seeing action in an NFL game. The Jets have a definite need at the position, so Murray may get a long look.

The QB position has been an interesting topic of conversation fr the Philadelphia Eagles both this offseason, and so far this year. And were only in week two. First they draft QB Carson Wentz as the number two overall, and expected to red shirt him through this season. Then when Minnesota's Teddy Bridgewater goes down with a season ending injury, the Eagles ship off their assumed starting QB Sam Bradford to the Vikings. With that move, they leap frogged Wentz into the starting QB position, and he takes them to their first victory in Week one over the Cleveland Browns. Now on Tuesday, Philadelphia signs Aaron Murray to their practice squad, just 20 hours after he was released by the Arizona Cardinals.

Murray was original on the Chiefs at the start of camp but was released on September 4th and found a home on the reserve squad for the Cardinals. However it seems like a brief stay in the desert for the former Georgia product who was a fourth round pick. He will now have to find a new home on another team's practice squad while the Cardinals add a bit of depth to the secondary with the move to re-sign Trevon Hartfield who was cut in the move down to 53-man rosters.
