2024 Player Outlook
What a start to his Jets career, right? Aaron Rodgers was the story of the 2023 offseason as he leaves Green Bay and heads to the New York Jets. All the hype and the spotlight was on the Jets in primetime and his season ended in two plays as he suffered a ruptured achilles. So, what do we have now? Well, Rodgers is 40 years old and coming off of a pretty major injury. Yes, Rodgers was seemingly close, but not really close, to returning last season and he has since had the entire offseason as well to rehab and get ready for the season. Where do we draft Rodgers? What do we expect? Those are some real questions that need to be answered. We know he has the offensive weapons around him with Garrett Wilson at receiver and Breece Hall at running back, both among the tops at their position. The team also signed Mike Williams in free agency as he leaves the Chargers following his own season ending injury. Truthfully, I'm more bearish than bullish on Aaron Rodgers and if I'm looking for him as my starting QB in 2024, I'm likely taking another QB right after him as a safety net.
