J.J. Wilcox
Player News
Falcons re-signed S J.J. Wilcox.
Wilcox missed the entire 2019 season after tearing his ACL last July. After four years with the Cowboys, Wilcox has bounced around the league since 2017.
The Falcons placed Wilcox (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Wilcox suffered a season-ending ACL tear during the first day of Atlanta's training camp. He appeared in two games with the Colts last season, recording four tackles (three solo). With Wilcox out for 2019, Damontae Kazee will likely step up as the primary backup to Keanu Neal (knee).
J.J. Wilcox practiced in full on Saturday.
Wilcox has not played since Week 12 due to a thigh injury, but this development seems to suggest a strong possibility of him returning for Monday night's game versus the Lions. The fourth-year safety has recorded 39 tackles. four pass deflections and one forced fumble across 11 games (four starts) this season.
J.J. Wilcox (thigh) has been ruled out for Week 14.
The contusion on his thigh will keep him sidelined against the Giants. Fortunately for the Cowboys, Barry Church is back in action, and played well in Week 13.
