The Bears have placed Ryan Mundy on injured reserve with a hip injury.
Mundy has yet to suit up for the Bears this preseason, as he just hasn't been able to shake the hip issue. His listing on the injured reserve will spell an end to his season and might just open up a potential starting spot for rookie Adrian Amos.
Bears S Ryan Mundy (hip) did not practice this week and is unlikely to play Saturday.
Mundy remains off the field and has yet to play a snap this pre-season. With youngsters Brock Vereen and Adrian Amos not turning any heads Mundy appears to be in no danger of losing his job.
Ryan Mundy recorded 12 tackles (11 solo) during the Bears' loss to the Lions on Thursday.
You know your defense is having a tough day when a guy in the secondary not only has double-digit tackles, but leads the team as well. Mundy now has 74 tackles on the year with three interceptions and makes for one heck of an IDP option.

Mundy\'s eight tackles were a team-high and he\'s now intercepted a pass in back-to-back games. With 62 tackles on the year with three interceptions and one touchdown, Mundy has proven to be one of the more productive defensive backs in IDP leagues.
