Texans signed LG Justin McCray, formerly of the Falcons, to a two-year, $4.0 million contract.
McCray is best viewed as a backup. This will be his fourth team in four years, and he's played less than 600 snaps in each season since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
Falcons signed OG Justin McCray, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year deal.
McCray started four games with the Browns in 2019 and five games with the Packers in the prior season. McCray is a versatile lineman who can play multiple positions. His primary role will be as the backup to Atlanta's right guard, 2019 first-round pick Chris Lindstrom.
McCray started at left tackle Sunday in place of the injured Greg Robinson (concussion).
It was a rough day for Cleveland's offensive line and McCray in particular. The Steelers racked up five sacks and two additional quarterback hits. Pittsburgh outside linebacker Bud Dupree was mostly lined up against McCray and led the Steelers with 1.5 sacks and two quarterback hits.
