Brian Cushing
Player News
Cushing (suspension) received a repeal of his roster exemption Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
With the roster exemption no more, Cushing is set to play this Sunday's game against San Francisco. The timing could not be better with the news of Brennan Scarlett (foot) landing on injured reserve. Cushing will likely resume his starting spot when the team takes the field Sunday.
Brian Cushing (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday.
Cushing has been dealing with a myriad of injuries this season and hasn't complained once about it. He will continue to play through the pain and will start for the Texans against the Patriots this weekend.
Brian Cushing will play Week 13 against the Packers.
Cushing was questionable with a back injury but it appears as though he'll take the field. He seems to be banged up each and every year but he's still a great football player. Cushing will need to be at his best to try and slow down Aaron Rodgers.
Brian Cushing is officially active for Week 4.
After suffering a Grade 2 sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee during Week 1, Cushing has made a speedy recovery and he is slated to play for the Texans today. With J.J. Watt out, the Texans can surely use all the additional help that they can get, and Cushing's presence should give their defensive unit a big boost. The 29-year-old lead the Texans with 110 tackles last year.
