Leger Douzable
Player News
Free-agent DE Leger Douzable signed with the Bills.
Signing in Buffalo means reconnecting with his old coach, Rex Ryan. That's not bad news, however, as Douzable had arguably the best two years of his career under Ryan and his defense. Douzable is now 30-years old, but has been reliable the last three seasons, playing in all 16 games each year. He'll likely be in a reserve role with the Bills.
Jets are re-signing Leger Douzable on a one-year deal.
Douzable was out all of the 2012 season with a shoulder injury but came back to play all 16 games the past two season for the Jets as a reserve defensive tackle. He's primarily a run stopper.
Leger Douzable registered two tackles and a sack in the Jets 31-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday.
The sack was Douzable\'s first of the season after registering a career high 1.5 sacks for the Jets last season.
Jets agreed to terms on a one-year deal to re-sign DE Leger Douzable.
After missing the entire 2012 season with a shoulder injury, Douzable appeared in all 16 games for the Jets last year, though on a limited basis. He played just 242 snaps all year and recorded 20 tackles an 1.5 sacks. He\'ll continue his role as a reserve lineman who specializes in stopping the run.
