Chargers promote Ryan Carrethers from practice squad to active roster.
Chargers have waived NT Ryan Carrethers.
Carrethers played in 14 games with the team last season, but has yet to appear this season. The third-year pro out of Arkansas State will be looking to get signed by a team in need of some big uglies on the defensive line.

Carrethers only sees a very limited amount of time on the field so this isn\'t sa huge loss fo rthe Chargers.They\'ll find someone else to work special teams.

Carrethers has been out since injuring his elbow against the Raiders on November 16th. As the backup for Sean Lissemore, Carrethers has made an impact, however the Chargers have been able to make due in his absence, winning their two games while he was out.
