Panthers announce DT Dwan Edwards has been released.
Edwards appeared in 14 games for the Panthers last season but totaled just eight tackles and one sack during that span. The veteran defensive tackle will be entering his 14th season in the NFL and will likely find a new home on a short term deal.
Dwan Edwards (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
If the Panthers are going to apply pressure to Carson Palmer, Dwan Edwards is going to be needed. Edwards had a sack versus Seattle but did not practice on Wednesday. Hopefully this is only a precautionary report, but monitor his progress leading up to game time on Sunday.
