Jason Hatcher
Player News
Jason Hatcher has announced he has retired from the NFL.
Hatcher contemplated retirement last offseason before returning to the Redskins for another season. The 10-year pro calls it a career with 34.5 sacks on his resume.
Jason Hatcher will visit with the Saints Tuesday.
After breaking out with 11 sacks in 2013 with the Cowboys, Hatcher has come back down to earth a bit the last two years with Washington. He recorded 5.5 sacks in 2014 but only two last year. 2016 will be his 12th season in the league.
Redskins have cut Jason Hatcher.
This was a no brainer for the Redskins. The veteran defensive tackle was signed to a big deal two years ago after having a career year for the Dallas Cowboys and just never even came close to those numbers again. The old man should be able to find work as a back up on a veteran minimum deal.
Jason Hatcher is leaning toward returning instead of retiring, according to Jay Gruden.
A ten-year veteran, Hatcher has started 27 regular-season games for the Redskins over the past two seasons, collecting 32 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
