Sen'Derrick Marks (triceps) will not participate in the Jaguars' OTAs.

With all of the recent injuries to the Jaguars defense, its no surprise that they give Marks this time to continue his recovery from a tricep injury that ended his 2015 season. The Jaguars signed or drafted three defensive linemen this offseason that are expected to play over Marks, so when he returns he needs to show the team that he is the same man who led the team in sacks in 2014 with 8.5.

Sen'Derrick Marks hasn't been lucky with the string of injuries he has faced over the last two seasons. Marks tore his ACL at the end of his great 2014 season and then tearing his triceps and missing 12 games this year. It's not guaranteed that the Jaguars will keep him with his recent injury history since he is due $3.45 million, plus a $1 million roster bonus. In 2014, Marks had 44 tackles, nine sacks, one fumble recovery, and two passes defended. It seems he was hitting his stride in recent years, but with the ACL and now the triceps injury, it's not absurd to wonder if he will slow back down.

A torn ACL in Week 17 last year limited Marks to just four games this season and now this torn triceps will put the kibosh on the rest of the year for him now. He'll be ready for training camp next year, but this has to be a rough way to end things after working so hard to make it back.

2015 will go down as a lost season for Marks after he missed the first five games of the season recovering from a torn ACL from last year and now will likely miss the rest of the year with a torn tricep. PFT quotes Gus Bradley saying "he is seeking a second opinion" which is code name for trying to avoid surgery, but even if he manages to play with some sort of brace on his arm he will likely be very unproducitve. Jacksonville will now have to try and track down the Colts missing one of their big guys in the middle.
