Courtney Upshaw has agreed to terms with the Falcons.
This negotiation escalated quickly. After visiting the Falcons on Thursday, it is being reported Courtney Upshaw has signed with Atlanta. Upshaw has played the last four years with the Ravens. He has started 51 games with 111 tackles, five sacks, seven passes defended and four forced fumbles. Atlanta was looking to upgrade its defense and this signing reinforces it. Upshaw should play strong side linebacker for the Falcons in the upcoming season.

Upshaw has now been linked to several teams this offseason including the Patriots, 49ers, and Jets. In 2015 as a member of the Ravens, he recorded 51 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.

In the four years since Upshaw's been drafted, he hasn't missed a single game. He had one of his better years last season, he recorded a career-best two sacks and tied his career high in forced fumbles with two.
