Dannell Ellerbe

Ellerbe was unable to play last week against the 49ers due to a quad injury but he returned to practice today in a limited capacity. He's considered to be questionable at this point and we will have to monitor his practice participation to see if it ramps up leading up to Sunday's game. Ellerbe has played in one game this season, where he made five tackles in a win over the Seahawks.

Ellerbe has been dealing with injuries all season and it seems like they just keep piling on top of each other. The Saints will play last year's MVP Cam Newton and will need all the help they can get in slowing down an angry Panthers team.

It looks like Ellerbe will be out of action week 4. Expect Nathan Stupar to take his place as the starter.

Ellerbe did not play in the Saints Week 1 loss to the Raiders either so New Orleans will not have to make any defensive adjustments with their rotations in week 2 against the Giants.
