Marquis Spruill
Player News
Former Falcons LB Marquis Spruill is scheduled to work out for the Dolphins Monday.
Spruill has recovered from last year's torn ACL, but is still without a home. Few teams are likely willing to take a shot on the reclamation project, so if he does eventually get signed, he's going to be nothing more than depth for the linebacker corps.
The Falcons have waived LB Marquis Spruill.
Just a clerical move here as Spruill tore his ACL earlier in August and is out for the season. The Falcons will look for someone else to take his roster spot and hopefully help bolster the linebacker corps.
Falcons LB Marquis Spruill had a left ACL reconstruction.
Obviously, Spruill will be out for the season. Before going down with a torn ACL, he was only slated to fill a special teams role. He\'ll look to impressive next summer.
Rookie LB Marquis Spruill tore his ACL at practice Wednesday and will miss the entire season.
While Spruill, a fifth-round selection in the 2014 draft, was only supposed to fill a reserve job with the Falcons, his loss puts them in a bad position with regard to linebacker depth. The team had already lost Sean Weatherspoon for the year, so now they have to go out and pick through the scrap heap looking for back-up linebackers.
