The Cardinals signed Jason Babin.
Babin spent last season with the Jets and was cut during training camp this year. He landed with the Ravens for about a month and appeared in two games before being released. He'll serve as depth for the Cardinals and may get a few snaps as a pass rusher during certain situations.
Cardinals worked out veteran OLB's, Jason Babin and Matt Shaughnessy on Monday.
The 35-year old Babin played two games with the Ravens this year before being released. He's always been a pass rushing specialist, as he has 64.5 sacks over his career. Shaughnessy on the other hand, started 19 games for the Cardinals from 2013-'14. He's familiar with the team if they're looking to add depth at the linebacker position. If either, or both, are signed, they are eligible to play in this week's game.
The Ravens released Jason Babin.
Babin was signed when Terrell Suggs went down for the year and lasted just the one week with the Ravens as lousy play and stupid penalties marred his debut. The 35-year old linebacker will look to pick up elsewhere, but anyone who sees film from this past week will likely pass.
Jason Babin is active for the Ravens on Thursday night.
Babin was picked up by the Ravens after Terrell Suggs was lost for the season with a torn achilles. Last season for the Jets Babin totaled 25 tackles and two sacks. He will be making his 2015 debut on Thursday night for the Ravens.
