Eagles DE Brandon Graham announced his retirement after 15 NFL seasons.

Graham, 36, is one of the few modern NFL players to spend his entire career in one city. “My life has been forever changed because of this magical place,” Graham said of Philadelphia during his retirement presser. Graham earned legendary status over the second half of his career with the Eagles, helping the team earn three Super Bowl berths and winning two, including last year’s championship domination of the Chiefs. He told reporters Tuesday that he re-tore his triceps in the Eagles’ Super Bowl win over KC. Graham retires with 76.5 sacks over 206 games. His best season came in 2022, when he recorded 11 sacks along with 11 tackles for a loss. Pro Football Focus graded Graham in 2024 as the league’s 20th best defensive end. His 13 hurries in 2024 ranked 86th among all defensive ends.

Eagles DE Brandon Graham said he’ll take “a little minute” to figure out if he’ll continue his NFL career.

The soon-to-be 37-year-old had a fairy tale ending to his NFL career if he wants to leave it there, as Graham played a supporting role in a swarming of Patrick Mahomes to win Super Bowl LIX. He told WIP on Tuesday that he feels “like I got a lot in the tank, but, you know, I want to make sure I go about this the right way.” It’s hard to believe a future where Graham isn’t on the Eagles next year if he keeps playing. The Eagles are going to be charged a $5.8 million cap hit for Graham in 2025 as a result of void years, but Graham is officially a free agent for the 2025 season.

Eagles activated DE Brandon Graham from injured reserve.

The veteran defensive end missed nine games as he tended to a torn tricep but proved healthy enough to return to the active roster ahead of tomorrow’s Super Bowl against the Chiefs. No longer an every-down player, Graham should see situational work off the edge in pursuit of Patrick Mahomes on Sunday. Graham already stated that his 15th season would be his last, making his remarkable recovery from a devastating injury that much sweeter for what is likely the final game of his illustrious career.

Graham was upgraded to a full practice to close the week, giving him a good shot at suiting up on Sunday. He is currently on injured reserve and needs to be officially activated over the weekend, meaning we will know his status well before kickoff. Graham suffered a torn triceps in Week 12 and has been out ever since. The veteran defensive end had 3.5 sacks and six TFLs through 11 games.
