Knott didn't figure to be much of a fantasy contributor, so this news means little to most.

Teams will often sign players to their practice squad throughout the week to fill voids and provide depth. Given that it\'s the final week of the season Knott will not be making impact on the active roster.

Knott will be hoping to be signed by another organization in the near future. The linebacker from Iowa State will most likely be signed as positional depth for another organization.

Knott was waived to make room for WR Matt Hazel, who the team signed off the practice squad. Knott was not doing anything special this season, being the third option at weakside linebacker.
