Lance Briggs

He played 12 years with the Chicago Bears from 2003 - 2014 and looks forward to the next step in his career.

Briggs has now been in the league for over a decade now, and he's only been able to play 17 games combined the last two years. At his age, he's unlikely to make a huge impact.

Briggs also met with the 49ers today, but has also received interest from Dallas and Tampa Bay. San Francisco seems like the most logical suitor for Briggs, as it is near his hometown and they are in desperate need of linebackers. Briggs was a force in Chicago during his entire 12-year career and teams still believe he has some left in the tank.

The 49ers can certainly use some linebacker depth, with both Patrick Willis and Chris Borland now gone. Expect the team to try and lock up Briggs's services during the meet-and-greet.
