Jasper Brinkley
Player News
Jasper Brinkley has gotten the most first-team reps at middle linebacker this offseason.
The Giants signed former Redskin Keenan Robinson this offseason with the hope and expectation he'd be ore like the player of 2014. Robinson however is a better pass defending MLB than a run defending one. This opens the door for re-signed Jasper Brinkley to either beat him out, or at very least rotate this season. With Brinkley getting a majority of the first team reps so far, it's becoming more and more likely.
Giants have re-signed Jasper Brinkley to a one-year deal.
The Giants have rebuilt their defensive line this offseason and will bring Brinkley back in an attempt to further strengthen the line. Brinkley had a big second half of last season, starting the team's final nine games at middle linebacker.
Jasper Brinkley recorded 12 tackles and had a sack in the Giants loss to the Patriots.
LB Jasper Brinkley is signing with the Giants.
Brinkley will add depth to a Giants linebacking core that is thin with the cutting of Jameel McClain and Jon Beason's health always a concern. The Giants open the season this Sunday night against Brinkley's former team in the Cowboys.
