Bills are signing veteran LB David Hawthorne.
With two of their linebackers injured the Bills have decided to sign veteran David Hawthorne to fill the void. One of those linebackers, Reggie Ragland decided to get another MRI on his knee and there should be more info available soon on his injury.
Saints have released LB's David Hawthorne and Ramon Humber.
The two were depth pieces for the Saints who never really showed much on the field during their tenures. It's moving day on the roster and Hawthorne and Humber will now have to try and catch on elsewhere if they want to play in 2016.
Saints David Hawthorne took a pay cut of $1.25 million in 2015.
Hawthorne would rather take the pay cut and stay with the Saints than get released and have to find work elsewhere. He recorded 82 tackles, three sacks and one interceptions over 12 games last season and will fill a similar role next season.
David Hawthorne (hand) is out for Sunday's game.
Hawthorne will miss Sunday\'s game due to a hand injury. Hopefully the injury improves over the weekend, but he may not be able to take the field for next week either. Kyle Knox will likely be starting in the place of Hawthorne at inside linebacker this week.
