Lawrence Timmons
Player News
Timmons signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Dolphins on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
Lawrence Timmons (shin) was taken to the hospital and won't return against the Eagles.
Timmons initially returned to the game for Pittsburgh, but was taken to the hospital at halftime. The injury is more serious than initially thought and Timmons is out for the rest of the game.
Lawrence Timmons is probable to return to Sunday's game with a left shin injury.
Timmons left briefly and was examined in the locker room. He's the 3rd LB to be injured this game for Pittsburgh, but all are expected to return. Timmons should be back on the field in no time.
Steelers and Lawrence Timmons are not close to a contract extension at this point.
This will be his 10th season with the Steelers and it could very well be his last. They have until September 12th to get a deal done, or Timmons will be a free agent at the end of this upcoming season. He led the team with 119 tackles, had a team-high four 10-tackle games and was third on the team with five sacks in 2015, and deserves to get paid. It's very possible they let him play the season out and try to resign him when he becomes a free agent.
