Player News
Former 49ers and Saints OLB Parys Haralson died at the age of 37 Monday.
No cause of death was announced by the 49ers in their team statement Monday. The former fifth-round pick of the Niners spent his first seven seasons in San Francisco and the final two with New Orleans before retiring after the 2014 campaign. Haralson appeared in 118 career games, notching 28 sacks. Our thoughts are with his loved ones.
Saints have cut LB Parys Haralson.
Cameron Jordan had this job locked down so tight Haralson would have had to hire his own team of locksmiths to unlock it. His future remains uncertain but he could land a spot on a practice squad somewhere.
The New Orleans Saints re-signed veteran linebacker Parys Haralson to a one-year contract, a league source confirmed. Terms were not disclosed.
Parys Haralson registered four tackles with one sack in the Saints 27-10 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Haralson now has four sacks on the season to go with 20 tackles after registering 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks last season for the Saints.
