Cory Redding
Player News
DT Cory Redding has retired after a 13-year NFL career.
After lasting 13 years and appearing in 198 games, Cory Redding is calling it a career. Redding will finish his career with 35.5 sacks and 419 tackles. He played in three conference championships but never made the Super Bowl during his time in the NFL.
Free-agent DE Cory Redding announced his retirement Wednesday.
Redding was a third round pick of the Lions back in 2003 and will finish his career with 418 tackles, 35.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two interceptions and 13 fumble recoveries over 188 career games.
Cardinals released veteran DT Cory Redding.
Redding appeared in 12 games for the Cardinals last season, totaling five tackles and one interception. At 35 years old there doesn't appear to be much left in the veteran DE's tank but he will look to hook on with another team on a low end deal.
Cory Redding (ankle) has been placed on injured reserve.
It has been a rough bye for the Cardinals as first they lose Alex Okafor for the remainder of the playoffs and now Redding. Though Redding didn't have a big role on the defense this season in Arizona it's more of a depth issue now as the Cardinals face a suddenly hot Packers team.
