John Abraham
Player News
John Abraham is 50/50 on returning to the NFL.
Abraham landed on season-ending injured reserve with a concussion after Week 1 and missed the entire season. At 36-years old and coming off this injury, he's probably only going to be looked at as a supporting player and that might not be enough for him to put forth the effort needed to prepare for another season. It seems like retirement is where this is headed.
Cardinals are placing LB John Abraham on injured reserve due to concussions.
That\'s a shame. Abraham is a fantastic pass rusher, but the head injuries are just too much. Looks like Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers catch a break here this week. We wish Abraham the best and hope to see him next season.
Cardinals linebacker John Abraham didn't pass a concussion protocol test on Tuesday.
The Cardinals were hoping to get Abraham back this week, but this setback could easily delay things by another week. He\'ll continue to be tested daily and the club will make a determination then.
John Abraham is expected to return to the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Abraham has been out with a concussion, but should practice Tuesday and coach Bruce Arians expects him to play in Sunday\'s game against the 49ers. We\'ll still consider him day-to-day for now and await practice reports.
