Corey Liuget

Liuget, a veteran first-rounder (2011), was waived by Oakland in late October and was snapped up by the Bills pretty quickly, where he served a depth interior role after a normally stout Buffalo defense had a few hiccups against the run. With Harrison Phillips expected to be healthy next season, there's some uncertainty regarding Liuget's status with the team, though if the Bills are unable to re-sign Jordan Phillips, Liuget's chances of a return would be that much greater. While Liuget's stats aren't exactly eye-popping, he still has the ability to plug the run capably.

Liuget will return from a one-game absence in an always challenging matchup against the Patriots. The defensive tackle has four tackles and a sack in five games with the Bills this season.

Liuget logged a trio of limited practices this week, and he appears to have a shot at suiting up in New England on Saturday after a one-game absence. The veteran plays a valuable depth role on Buffalo's defensive line.

The Buffalo defense played incredibly without one of its key run stuffers in the win, but at some point Liuget's services will be needed if the Bills are going to make a playoff run. The veteran is more of a depth piece at this stage of his career, but he's been a big boost to the Bills solving some of their prior run defense issues.
