Steelers re-signed OLB Cassius Marsh to a one-year, $1.2 million contract.
28-year-old Marsh played for three teams last season and has done his tour around the league. He has 14 sacks as a rotational edge rusher since the start of the 2016 season and will also pitch in on special teams.
Jaguars signed DE Cassius Marsh, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.
The 27-year-old is making it out of the NFC West after playing for the Seahawks, 49ers, and Cardinals since coming into the league in 2014. He also made a pit stop with the Patriots in 2017. Marsh played 38% of the defensive snaps for Arizona last year, registering 2.5 sacks. He has 14 QB take-downs through six campaigns.
Marsh (concussion) is active for Thursday's tilt against the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Marsh appears to have managed to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in just four days. He stands to play a rotational role in Arizona's linebacker corps during Thursday Night Football.
Marsh won't return to Sunday's game against the Saints and is being evaluated for a concussion, Craig Grialou of 98.7 FM Arizona reports.
It's unclear how Marsh picked up the injury, but he will enter the league's mandated concussion protocol. Marsh will need to gain clearance before returning to the field for next week, but now that he's officially out, Brooks Reed is the only healthy depth outside linebacker on the roster.
