Jaguars signed Quanterus Smith to the practice squad.
It's so late in the year, that Smith will have a tough time making any impact on the active roster. Consider him a player with no fantasy value going forward.
Jets tried out former Broncos defensive end Quanterus Smith on Tuesday.
Smith was waived by the Broncos after failing his physical on his left knee but with the Jets down a pass rusher due to Lorenzo Mauldin's concussion they figured to bring Smith in for a look.

Smith suffered a torn ACL in 2013 and missed the whole year. Then, the following season he suffered another serious knee injury in 2014 and missed most of that year as well. He played in a very limited role last season but the Broncos had seen enough. He is now free to sign with any team, though it seems unlikely anyone is interested.

Smith had only 11 tackles last year for the Broncos, in his only year in the NFL. He will need to find a new place to latch-on before camp starts in a couple of months.
