Quinton Dial
Player News
Dial announced Friday that he plans to retire from the NFL, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dial did not see NFL action in 2018 after serving as a rotational defensive tackle for the Packers a year prior. The 28-year-old spent his first four seasons in San Francisco, and he finishes with 145 tackles (90) and 4.5 sacks for his career.
Quinton Dial (knee) will sit Thursday, but He's expected back for Week 1.
Dial is a mediocre rotational DE at best, so his status for Week 1 shouldn't matter much in the fantasy realm.
Quinton Dial (knee) is out for the rest of the game on Friday.
The 49ers had just signed DE Quinton Dial to a three-year, $12 million extension through 2019. Hopefully this knee injury is not serious and it doesn't cause Dial to miss significant time.
49ers have re-signed Quinton Dial for three-years.
The 25 year old defensive tackle out of Alabama recorded 59 tackles and 2.5 sacks over 15 games for the 49ers last season and really impressed the coaches with his efforts. Financial terms have yet to be disclosed, but the team is happy to lock him down for the next three years.
