Kroy Biermann
Player News
Kroy Biermann worked out for the Buccaneers on Tuesday.
The Bills signed veteran defensive end Keoy Biermann to a one-year contract but was released after Buffalo unsuccessfully tried to move him to outside linebacker because of injuries to that position. He will look for a new home in Tampa, they could use the depth on the defensive line.
Bills cut Kroy Bierman Friday.
He signed on with the Bills two weeks ago but Buffalo is going young as they cut Biermann and linebacker Manny Lawson. Biermann has been in the league for nearly a decade and could offer another team a veteran presence.
Bills will sign Kroy Biermann to a one-year deal on Monday.
It looks like Biermann will have to make some changes to his game, if he wants playing time in Buffalo. He will likely be forced to convert from a defensive end to an outside linebacker. The Bills are thin on the strongside after losing their top draft pick Shaq Lawson to a shoulder injury, Manny Lawson to a pec, and IK Enemkpali to a knee. Biermann has the run-stopping skills to do well there.
Kroy Biermann is visiting the Lions Wednesday.
The veteran is still searching for a home and after visiting the Bills earlier in the off-season, the defensive end will hope to land with the Lions. Biermann is known as a run stuffer which would be a welcomed addition for the Lions as the defensive end finished 2015 with 2.5 sacks and 54 total tackles.
