Bears have signed DL David Carter to a one-year contract.
Carter will be, if he sticks with the team, should only be a deep bench option for the Bears defensive line squad. He was originally an undrafted free agent signed in 2011 by Arizona who most recently played in the preseason for Jacksonville last year. Carter has registered only 29 career tackles across four seasons in the NFL.
Jaguars DE David Carter was placed on waivers with an injury settlement Friday.
Carter was looking at a reserve role anyway. At least he\'ll get paid something here for his time.
