Michael Egnew

Egnew has only been with the Saints for about a week now, but already the team has made up its mind. He'll be waived Monday and start looking for a new job first thing Tuesday morning, if his agent hasn't already begun the process by now.

Egnew hasn't appeared in a regular season game since 2013, when he was a member of the Miami Dolphins. He recorded seven receptions for 69 yards in 16 games. Egnew will provide depth for the team at tight end.

Egnew has now been released by three teams in the past year and a half. The Steelers have no more room for him with four other tight ends in camp and all of them ahead of him on the depth chart.

Egnew was a third-round pick by the Dolphins in 2012, but he has just seven career receptions. With Egnew gone, the Steelers are left with Matt Spaeth and Jesse James to back up Heath Miller at tight end.

He shouldn\'t figure to become a fantasy contributor any time next season, as the Steelers are pretty set at the tight end position with Heath Miller locked up until 2016.
