Texans released WR Donte Moncrief.
Once a popular name in fantasy circles, Moncrief appears to be reaching the end of his NFL career. The age-27 wideout has just five receptions in the past two seasons. He'll look to sign with another team as a special teams player before the start of the regular season.
Texans signed WR Donte Moncrief, formerly of the Patriots.
Now more of a special teamer than pass catcher, 27-year-old Moncrief has caught five passes in 14 games over the past two seasons. Even in lowly Houston, he will have trouble cracking the 53-man roster.
