Brandon Marshall
Player News
Marshall is slated to work out for the Colts on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Marshall has been off the fantasy radar the past couple of seasons, and at age 35, it's hard to imagine him making a big splash if he does catch on with the Colts. The team's wideout corps is currently headed by T.Y. Hilton, Devin Funchess, Chester Rogers and rookie Parris Campbell.
Marshall made three catches for 46 yards and one touchdown on six targets during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Broncos.
Many doubted if a 34-year-old wideout coming off season-ending surgery would even make the Seahawks' roster, but Marshall proved why they kept a spot for him. Marshall was able to create separation in the third quarter and allow quarterback Russell Wilson to drop a dime to him in the end zone. He could see additional targets in Week 2 against the Bears if Doug Baldwin can't shake his knee injury.
Marshall is headed for a visit with the Seahawks, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.
Marshall spent the 2017 campaign with the Giants, but struggled to stay healthy and saw action in just five games after undergoing season-ending ankle surgery. He ended the year with just 18 receptions for 154 yards, marking his lowest output since entering the NFL in 2008. The 10-year veteran failed his physical with the Giants earlier this offseason, which ultimately led to his release, so he'd still have to check out medically with Seattle if an agreement were to be reached. The Seahawks lost both Paul Richardson and Jimmy Graham in free agency, so Marshall would provide experienced depth that could absorb some targets if needed.
Marshall (toe) practiced fully Thursday.
Despite being listed as limited at Wednesday's session, Marshall didn't appear to justify such a designation, per Tom Rock of Newsday. One day later, Marshall did just that, making it clear he's ready for Sunday's matchup with the Chargers.
