With the Chiefs cutting Saalim Hakim, they found an open slot for Hammond. He is a low end WR, and should only be rostered if you are in a super deep league that has no other WR options on the wire.

After being waived, Hammond hopes to be claimed by another team. Saalim Hakim could see some playing time for the Chiefs after being signed from the practice squad on Monday.

Although it’s harsh to say, many receivers see their careers take a downfall after going to Kansas City. Alex Smith isn’t capable of helping his star wideouts produce big numbers. Last year was a prime example in that Smith never connected with a wide receiver for a touchdown. Jeremy Maclin should break that this year and put up decent numbers, but he is the only wide receiver in Kansas City that should be drafted. Stay away from Hammond.

With A.J. Jenkins and Donnie Avery expected to be out Sunday, Hammond will get the nod over Junior Hemingway. He is a risky play as is, but against the Seahawks, he\'s even less enticing.
