Nate Burleson
Player News
Browns have cut WR Nate Burleson.
Between the excvessive injuries and the lackluster play when he eventually does make it onto the field, this is no surprise at all. Travis Benjamin beat him out for the No. 3 receiver job and it would appear that Marlon Moor with be the No. 4.
Nate Burleson (hamstring) is active and could make his preseason debut.
Browns coach Mike Pettine was not very definite yesterday with his answers about whether we would get to see Nate Burleson make his Browns debut for tonight\'s game. Pettine said. \"It does hurt your chances not being out there. It\'s something where we\'ll consider his entire body of work.\" Burleson has been out most of the offseason with a hamstring injury and missed Cleveland\'s first three preseason games.
Nate Burleson (hamstring) will play in Thursday's preseason finale.
Burleson is slated to be one of the teams starting wide receivers going into the season with Josh Gordon\'s status still unknown. Burleson will also be competing with Miles Austin, Andre Hawkins and Anthony Armstrong for catches in the Browns offense.
Browns Head coach Mike Pettine said WR Nate Burleson did individual drills Monday.
Hopefully Burleson can make it through the preseason healthy. He should assume a backup role with the Browns, but due to his injury risk and lack of a solid QB, he isn\'t worth much in fantasy. Last season he had 461 yards and one touchdown in nine games with the Lions.
