Andre Holmes
Player News
Holmes (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
The move means little in regards to the severity of Holmes' left high-ankle sprain, simply that he would have been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Chargers. The 30-year-old may need some time to make a full recovery, but should be ready for offseason OTAs in the spring.
Holmes (ankle) wasn't taking part in the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Holmes' inability to practice for the second straight day adds further credence to the report Mike Klis of 9News Denver issued Wednesday, wherein the wideout was revealed to be dealing with a high-ankle sprain that will likely keep him sidelined for the season finale against the Chargers. The Broncos will officially reveal Holmes' odds of playing in that contest or rule him out entirely when the team releases its final practice report Friday.
Andre Holmes has signed a one-year deal with the Raiders.
The deal is said to be "worth up to" $3 million for the veteran wide-out. This was a player that most thought was an emergence star in Oakland but has been pushed down the depth chart by Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and Seth Roberts. Holmes has little to no value in even the deepest formats.
Andre Holmes caught two passes on three targets for 54 yards and two touchdowns during the Raiders’ 34-20 win over the Jets on Sunday.
Holmes broke loose to snag a pair of passes – both touchdowns. But do not look too far into this. Holmes is not targeted nearly enough to warrant any fantasy consideration. With Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree seeing nearly all of the looks, Holmes has virtually no fantasy value.
