Thats a shame for Brown, however it was unlikely that he would make the team anyway, so he may end up getting something positive out of this at least. Best of luck to him on his recovery going forward.

He will begin the season on the injured reserve/PUP list. The five-year veteran was signed to provide some experienced depth following the release of Marcus Colston. Even supposing he is activated for the beginning of the season, do not expect much fantasy production as he has several younger WRs in front of him on the depth chart, including Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead and Brandon Coleman. Not to mention rookie Michael Thomas, who has looked good in OTAs.

Injuries have limited Vincent Brown to just eight games over the last two seasons, but the once-promising receiver is an interesting fit in New Orleans. Brown will likely compete with Brandon Coleman and rookie second-round pick Michael Thomas for targets behind Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead, and if one of those guys can separate himself, he would be pretty valuable for fantasy.

Browns only full season in the NFL came in 2013 with the Chargers in which he 41 receptions for 472 yards and a touchdown. He made an appearance in seven games for the Raiders in 2014 and made 12 receptions while only playing one game in 2015 and made a 22 yard catch. The Saints are in need of some extra help at WR and one of these three receivers would most definitely help the cause.
