Victor Cruz
Player News
Cruz signed with the Bears on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Victor Cruz expects to get more targets going forward.
Cruz was bitterly frustrated with not seeing a single target in the Week 13 loss to Pittsburgh as OBJ dominated the looks from Eli. Cruz has been a solid option aside from Beckham but it hasn't amounted to much in terms of production with just 27 grabs for 462 yards and a score. Until the targets turn into production, there is no real reason to roster Cruz.
Victor Cruz (ankle) will play Week 11.
Cruz will find his way back into the Giants lineup for Week 11. This hurts the value of Sterling Shepard and should have zero impact on Odell Beckham in terms of targets. Cruz is going to be a low upside WR4 this week.
Update: Victor Cruz (ankle) was listed as limited on Thursday.
Cruz is entering Week 11's matchup against the Bears as a big question mark. Eli Manning and the Giants offense clicked without him in Week 10, but Roger Lewis Jr., the man who replaced Cruz, dropped a few passes that would have gone for some big yardage. It's safe to say the Giants hope he comes back but if he does play, he could have a limit on his snap count which would limit his fantasy upside. Cruz's valuable fantasy days seem like a thing of the past.
