Greg Orton

Orton was injured in his first practice with the Patriots which resulted him getting waived. Reports were that he tore his achilles.

He was carted off the field during Friday\'s practice, and the injury occurred during a non-contact play. His status as a potential depth WR in New England just took a major hit.

We\'ll await reports but it seemed like his knee or his ankle gave out on him. Consider him day-to-day, but the outlook is not particularly good.

The revolving door of receivers who won\'t ever make the Patriots roster continues to spin around and around. Orton will get a brief look, but probably won\'t do much with it, just as what happened with McDonald.
