Andrew Hawkins
Player News
Andrew Hawkins (finger) fully participated in practice Friday.
It's difficult to start any Browns player, and this news doesn't really change that fact. Hawkins has seen five targets over the past two weeks and only one last week. On top of that, both of those games, the Browns were being blown out and passing a lot. Hawkins is not a player that is worthy of a roster position.
Andrew Hawkins will take Corey Coleman's spot in the starting lineup in Week 3.
On the season, Hawkins has tallied just three catches for 28 yards. He may be a starter now with Coleman out, but with Cody Kessler getting the keys to the offense, it makes most of the Browns passing attack unappealing for fantasy purposes.
Browns placed Andrew Hawkins on injured reserve.
You had to feel a little bit scared for Andrew Hawkins after suffering multiple concussions this season for the Browns. He has not played in a game since Week 10 due to those concussions. The scariest part is that he still was not showing signs of progress and the team decided to shut him down for the season. Hawkins had 27 catches this season for 276 yards and zero touchdowns.
Andrew Hawkins (concussion) did not practice on Thursday.
Hawkins needs to pass the league's concussion protocol before he can get back on the field so for now his status for Sunday should be in doubt.
