Dwayne Bowe
Player News
Bowe signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Chiefs on Thursday.
Bowe gave Kansas City a quality return on their 2007 first-round investment over the years and will ultimately go down as the team's third-leading receiver all-time behind Tony Gonzalez and Otis Taylor. It probably won't be long until Travis Kelce and possibly Tyreek Hill pass him in that regard, though.
Browns are set to release WR Dwayne Bowe.
Bowe played just seven games and caught just five passes for the Browns last season so his release is not very surprising. At 31 years old it seems unlikely that Bowe will become an impact football player again however his size could make him a decent player on the right team as an end zone target.
Browns WR Dwayne Bowe inactive for the sixth time in 10 games this season.
Bowe has been ineffective for this Browns team so far this year and most of the time he has been on the bench. Bowe will be inactive again on Sunday and can't even remotely be considered a fantasy option going forward.
Dwayne Bowe will be active in Week 9 with Hartline diagnosed with a concussion.
Hartline hasn't cleared through the NFL concussion protocol yet and with it being a short week, Cleveland plays Cincinnati on Thursday, it's not shocking that the free agent acquisition in Bowe would stand to take his spot. Bowe has been even less productive in his handful of games than he was over the last few years in Kansas City and isn't worth picking up any time soon since he is buried on the depth chart and doesn't get more than one or two targets a game when he does play.
