Marc Mariani
Player News
Titans have added Marc Mariani to their roster.
With the release of Tre McBride, the Titans added depth to the WR position by adding Mariani. At this time the fantasy relevance here is low, submarine low.
Bears announce they have agreed to terms with WR Marc Mariani on a One-year contract.
Mariani is slated to come back for his third year with the Bears. The seventh year pro provides depth at wide receiver and is able to return kickoffs and punts, but provides nothing in terms of fantasy value.
Marc Mariani caught six passes on eight targets for 80 yards on Sunday afternoon against the Lions.
Mariani had a solid game on Sunday afternoon, getting his season receiving totals up to exactly 300 yards. This season however, he has been nothing close to a legitimate fantasy option, so his name likely doesn’t ring a bell with most fantasy owners. He did a good job this season filling in for the injured Alshon Jeffery and rookie, first round pick, Kevin White, but once they are both healthy again next season, Mariani shouldn’t see many targets coming his way.
Bears have signed KR/WR Marc Mariani to 2-year contract.
Mariani was a kick return specialist in Tennessee, but suffered a couple of serious injuries which was the reason why he was released. Expect the Bears to use him as their kick returner as early as this week.
