Keith Tandy
Player News
Buccaneers have re-signed Keith Tandy.
Tandy was able to get two starts in last season during week 16 and 17. In those two starts he was able to record 21 tackles and one sack, which is nice for a free safety. Tandy has spent four seasons in the NFL, all with Tampa Bay, but has mostly contributed on special teams. Tandy should battle for a larger role next year and he should have a good shot if they let Chris Conte start last year.
Buccaneers upgraded S Keith Tandy (concussion) to full participation on Thursday.
Tandy has been cleared to resume practice and it sounds as though he has passed all of the NFL's concussion tests. Expect him to be on the field this weekend.
Coach Lovie Smith says safety Keith Tandy suffered a concussion Sunday and is in the league's concussion protocol.
Another week, another player in the concussion protocol and just like all the others he will have to pass through it before returning to the field. Tampa's defense was outstanding against Philadelphia in Week 11 and now they get a still-figuring-it-out squad in the Colts this coming Sunday.
Keith Tandy is being evaluated for a concussion he is questionable to return.
This injury could hurt the depth of an already suspect Tampa Bay secondary. Kimario McFadden could see some more snaps with Tandy out.
