Player News
Cardinals place Tyvon Branch (groin) on injured reserve.
Tyvon Branch has been placed on injured reserve.
Branch has a torn groin and his season has officially ended. He recently returned from hernia surgery and has now missed significant time in three of the last four seasons. The veteran defensive back is getting older and is in danger of making the roster next season.
Cardinals safety Tyvon Branch has gone into the locker room with trainers.
No word on what the cause is at this time. D.J. Swearinger will take over the snaps for Branch while he is getting checked out in the locker room.
Cardinals activated safety Tyvon Branch from the injured reserve/designated for return list.
Branch hasn't played since week four, but had a nice start to the season with 16 tackles in the first two games. Branch will come back to the defensive unit and help fill in for the injured Mathieu. If Branch plays like he did in the beginning of the season, the Cardinals shouldn't suffer much at all, although its uncertain how he will fare off an extended absence.
