Thomas DeCoud
Player News
Panthers have released safety Thomas DeCoud on Tuesday.
DeCoud had 49 tackles in 2014 after starting 11 of his first 12 games until being benched. His two year deal has been cut short after just a season and his release frees up $1.9 million in cap space for the Panthers.
Thomas DeCoud (hamstring) was limited in practice Friday and is questionable for this week's game.
DeCoud has a good chance at playing in the game, but if he is unable to play or very limited, Colin Jones will likely step in at free safety.
Thomas DeCoud (hamstring) was limited during practice on Thursday.
DeCoud didn\'t play last weekend against Arizona and his status for Saturday night is completely up in the air. He would improve Carolina\'s secondary if he\'s able to play, but that will depend on how his hamstring responds.
S Thomas DeCoud (hamstring) and CB Melvin White (ankle) were limited in practice on Wednesday.
Both players should be able to play in the game this weekend as they are both logging some practice this early in the week. If DeCoud and White were both unable to go on Saturday in Seattle, Tre Boston and James Dockery would see more snaps in the game.
