Brock Vereen

Vereen retires at just 23 years old. He appeared in 19 career games with the Bears he totaled 39 tackles with one interception and one forced fumble. He was on the Patriots practice squad last year and was in camp with them this season before retiring.

Vereen never shone when with the Bears, and obviously does not fit into the Vikings' furture plans. Unless and until he gets picked up by another team, he has no value for fantasy whatsoever.

The Vikings are adding depth to their secondary and Vereen will hope to make an impression and move up to the active roster. The second-year safety was recently released by the Bears.

A pick that the Bears moved up in 2014 draft to take has apparently fallen so far out of favor with the new regime that he has been cut. Vereen is now the third player in the last two days to be shifted out of Chicago as the Bears now try and rebuild their seriously struggling team.
