Omar Bolden is expected to visit the Bears next week.
Bolden only appeared in nine games for the Broncos last season, but they're not looking to resign him so he's taking meetings with other team's looking for a new landing spot. Bolden only has 51 tackles in his four career seasons. He's more of a reserve than a starting safety.
Broncos placed Omar Bolden (knee) on Injured Reserve.
The move was a formality on Tuesday as it was already clear Bolden and his injured PCL would be out for the rest of the playoff run. An upside to the move is that it clears a roster spot for a healthy body to come in and keep the available depth the same for the Broncos as they head into the AFC Championship on Sunday. He should be ready to go for the start of the 2016 season come August but in the meantime Denver will have to find a new kick returner.
