LaRon Landry
Player News
Laron Landry has been suspended from the NFL indefinitely.
It is not a surprise that the NFL suspended Landry indefinitely after the 10-game suspension he received in the offseason for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing drugs (PED's). In addition to that suspension, there was a picture of him in the gym earlier this year where he looked like he took a lot of PED's. The NFL has not announced why they suspended him indefinitely, but it is most likely due to Landy's PED use. It is unlikely that a NFL team will sign the 31-year-old, one-time Pro Bowler if and when he is ruled eligible to play in the NFL again. In eight seasons, he played in 103 games and he posted 616 combined tackles, 10 forced fumbles, eight sacks, four fumble recoveries and one defensive touchdown.
LaRon Landry has been reinstated by the NFL.
He was suspended for 10 games due to PED violations. Though he is now 30, there may be interest in the safety due to the number of injuries teams are dealing with in their defensive secondaries. Do not count out Landry for the balance of the season.
LaRon Landry has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2015 season.
The assumption is that he was caught using PED's again, but at this point, the 10 game suspension cause is all speculation.
The Colts released S LaRon Landry, LB Andrew Jackson and T Xavier Nixon.
LaRon Landry has been an overall disappointment since being drafted in the first round by the Washington Redskins in 2007. From the injuries to suspensions, his production and playing time as diminished over the course of his career. He will save the Colts four million dollars in cap space.
