As part of the final cuts for the 2016 season, the Cincinnati Bengals have elected to cut safety Jimmy Wilson.

Wilson was fresh off signing with the Chiefs when he got the news he was on his way out to make roster room for the draft picks taken late last week. Wilson had signed a two-year deal with the Chargers prior to 2015 but was cut after the year. He could catch on somewhere as a camp battle candidate but that's about the extent of his abilities.

After being cut by the Chargers in December, the former strong safety has signed with a divisional rival. Jimmy Wilson has a one-year deal with Kansas City. He has played in 73 regular season games with 27 games started. Wilson has recorded five interceptions in his career along with three sacks and three forced fumbles. He will be in the mix for the Chiefs defensive backfield.

Now a free agent, it's likely Wilson looks to sign with a contender. Wilson has 44 tackles, one sack, one interception, one fumble recovery, and two pass deflections this season. He could be a valuable asset during the stretch run of the season for a team looking for secondary help.
